Although many specific tools are available to support and energize employee recognition, these are simply an attempt to embody our fundamental belief that the Ladies and Gentlemen, who perform the duties that directly affect our external customers, are our most important and valued resource.
It is leadership’s mission to create a work environment where our associates feel a sense of belonging based upon the respect, appreciation and support received. Instead of just “holding people accountable” for their work duties, our goal is to employ an individualized approach to nurturing and investment in order to “enable and inspire” the associate to deliver above industry expected performance.
Creating and maintaining this work environment depends more upon leadership’s character traits, daily behaviors and personal values than on specific recognition programs. One must first display integrity, compassion, courtesy, fairness and honesty before one can expect loyalty and commitment. To assist our on-site Directors reinforce our value system, by recognizing both exceptional individual performance as well as promoting a team unity, each location is provided a monthly motivation budget to fund the various programs that have been tailored for that account.
